Why does my manual transmission stick and won't shift in or out of gear?

When I'm driving and shifting it gets stuck in gear. Also, I can't put it in gear.

I just changed the clutch.

What might be the problem?

The new clutch and linkage were not adjusted properly after installation.

The clutch must be adjusted so that when the clutch pedal is depressed, the clutch plates fully disengage. The driven clutch plate must fully disengage from the drive-side plate or the transmission gears cannot move into or out of position.
