Why are my car's name plate & model identifiers positioned differently?

I bought my car used recently.

I notice that on my trunk the words "Toyota" and "LE" are below my rear lights. Every other car I have seen has these words above the lights.

Can you help me understand why?

Manufacturers change positioning year-over-year for cosmetic reasons or because internal parts get redesigned and require different positioning of attachment pins.

This can occur during a model year's run for similar reasons.
