Is there a sensor problem?
My car's tire gauge light comes on when I start the car.

It flashes for a few minutes after driving, and then stays solidly on for the rest of the time.

I check my tire pressure and all tires are fine.

What could cause it to stay on? Is it a fuse or electrical problem?

How severe could it be?

I cannot afford a trip to a mechanic for just a slight electrical problem.

Is this car still under warranty? If so, wouldn't the dealer repair it at no charge?

It sounds like one or more sending units inside the wheel sensors is sending an erroneous signal. Make certain all tires are correctly inflated.

Check frequently.
