Why are my transmission's shift points so low?
I just finished restoring my 1970 Barracuda with 383 and the 727 automatic transmission.

The transmission is newly rebuilt.

When I took the car out for a test drive, I found that it shifts real fast. It shifts into second at 12 miles per hour and third by 20 miles per hour.

Is this normal? It seems pretty fast to me.

Any suggestions?

These shift points do seems quick. Check the original specs for your specific trans.

There are internal adjustments that should accessible after dropping the pan.

Please provide ideas & experiences for other visitors.
