Why does my vehicle's security system shut down the engine since I changed the battery?
Hi.

I have a 10-year-old SUV.

I took the battery out to replace it and now when I start it, it runs for only five seconds and then shuts itself off. Then a security light lights up on the dash.

I'm not sure if this is some kind of a security thing or not, but if someone has an answer it would be appreciated.

The vehicle's security system needs to be reset.
